Founded in 1943, Walker Stainless Equipment Company began as a welding repair shop in New Lisbon, Wisconsin. Its products now include stainless steel vessels, silos, custom equipment, and tank trailers, serving the dairy, food, beverage, chemical, energy, environmental and pharmaceutical industries.

Walker entered the dairy market in the 1950s when it began manufacturing truck-mounted tanks and trailer tanks for transporting milk from farms to dairies for processing. In the 1960s, the company began custom fabricating stainless steel vessels for storing and processing liquids for the dairy, food and beverage industries.

Wabash National Corporation, a diversified industrial manufacturer and North America’s leading producer of semi-trailers, acquired the Walker Group in 2012.  As the largest trailer manufacturer in the United States, Wabash brings exciting new resources to Walker, along with a shared commitment for continued innovation and best-in-class quality.
